Way back when.....before I had my minor meltdown and needed a bloggy break, I was awarded the Liebster blog award by two lovely people:
Tubbah from Organising: My Crazy Life
and
Salwa from Salz Dummy Spit.
Thank you girls. This post has been a long time coming and I really appreciate the nominations.
Now, not so long ago, right before I started The November 30/30 Challenge, I was awarded another two awards, this time from:
Nikki from Phenomenal Woman
and
Alexandra from Alive and Blogging.
And again, I thank you both.
Here is a little bit about the award.
"The award is given to support and recognise up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers (on their blog) or likers (on their Facebook page). The word “Liebster” apparently has German origins and is reported to mean sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome. By following some basic rules (answer 11 questions set by your nominee, write 11 questions of your own and pass the award onto 11 other bloggers to answer) it enables readers to get to know new bloggers and connect with a wider audience."
Seeing as the girls have asked me different questions, I have chosen random questions from all to answer.
1. Did I eat breakfast today?
Yes I did! Just my normal breakfast of oats. Quite boring really, but it's healthy and gets me through the morning.
2. What is your favourite past time and why?
Cross stitch. Because I can do it while I watch tv and just zone out.
3. What would be your ideal night out?
A lovely dinner, followed by a movie, or a dance if I'm out with my girlfriends. Unfortunately my hubby won't have a bar of the whole dancing thing.
4. Can you keep secrets?
Absolutely! Keeping people's confidences is very important to me. My friends know they can trust me, as much I need to be able to trust them.
5. If you could pass one law, what would it be?
Oscar's Law. Because puppy farming is disgusting and shameful, and needs to be stopped.
6. What is your favourite chore around the house?
I'm afraid I don't have one. I hate anything to do with cleaning.
7. If there was one thing you could banish from your life, what would it be?
Fear. Unfortunately, as I suffer from Panic Disorder, I tend to feel fear a lot.
8. Any siblings?
Yes, I have a younger sister. I did have a step-brother too, but we lost him nearly two years ago.
9. Do you have any pets and if so, what are they?
Yes, two! A dog Alaska, and a cat Lucy.
10. What is your favourite season and why?
Definitely autumn, because it's still warm but not as warm as summer (generally), and the colours of the leaves on the trees are just magnificent.
11. What did you want to be when you grew up?
First of all it was a Popstar!
Once I became realistic, it was a Vet.
Then once I became even more realistic, it was a Speech Pathologist.
I became none of these things.
So, I now pass the award on to these other deserving blogs:
And here are my questions....
1. What is your favourite colour?
2. Best book you ever read?
3. What is your 'houseworking' music of choice?
4. Do you have a habit that others would consider weird and if so, what?
5. Are you messy, or a neat freak?
6. What is one word your friends would use to describe you?
7. When choosing a milkshake, what flavour do you always go for?
8. What is your favourite quote?
9. What is your favourite movie of all time?
10. What is your favourite Christmas tradition?
11. Do you prefer wine or spirits?
Enjoy everyone! I'll love reading your responses and learning more about you ♥

What great answers to those questions...
ReplyDeleteNow as for the bloggy breakdown.. we all have them! I had one earlier this year.. I stuck a sticker to my head saying Out Of Order.. and then posted it online and was offline for a few days.. (hiding under my covers in my bed)... we all need a break away.. to rethink our direction... I hope you have found your mojo again!
#teamIBOT was here to say hi!
Thanks Yvette, I have pretty much. I just need to remember not to put too much pressure on myself! :-)

Thanks Becc!
DeleteIt's nice to be popular every now and again ;-)

I wanted to be a vet too as a kid.
ReplyDeleteI still kinda want to be a pop star ;)
Me too, kinda :-)

I'm with Jess I'd still like to be a rock star. I did my first cross stitch the other day would you believe!
ReplyDeleteI don't think you ever lose that dream, Annaleis. At least, I don't think I will! Good on you for trying cross stitch! And yes, I would believe you.....it's probably too 'grannyish' for a lot of people, lol. But not for me! :-)

Oh, Alaska's a great name for a dog.
ReplyDeleteI so wanted to be a pop star...I was even aiming to be a back up singer for Duran Duran :)
Haha! Aren't they coming out soon? You might be able to make it come true :-)

Congratulations on receiving the award- so many times! I hate cleaning too :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Zanni. I knew I couldn't possibly the only one who felt that way! :)

Congrats on your award...I think bloggy breaks are helpful in the long run
ReplyDeleteThank you! Me too, a good chance to clear the head and find new inspiration :)

Congrats on those awards! Also, welcome back from your break.
ReplyDeleteI used to do alot of cross stitch when I was a bit younger (well, 15 years + now!).
Thank you Sophie!
DeleteDid you stop enjoying it, or just no longer find the time? I didn't discover it until I was in my late twenties, so I've been doing it for about 15 years. I haven't completed that many in that time, now that I think about it. Either I'm just really slow, or stitching is just time consuming :)
xx
Congratulations on your award, Tracey! And you've picked some wonderful bloggers to pass it on to :)
ReplyDeleteI love the name Alaska! How sweet.
Thanks Kelly!
DeleteWe named him Alaska, as he has ice blue eyes. Very unusual for a Kelpie cross, but he's crossed with a Husky so that's where it comes from :)

I am so with you, I hate anything to do with cleaning! That's why my house more often than not resembles a bomb site!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the award my dear. I might sit on it till next year if that's ok. I am on the countdown to post #1000 and I don't plan to post too many more times this year so I will bookmark this and answer your excellent questions early January.
Glad to have you back. bloggy breaks can be great for the mind and soul!
Oh I'm hearing you! I look around my place most of the time and just sigh.
DeleteMy pleasure, Kylie! Do it whenever it suits you, hun. Wow, post 1000! That's frickin awesome!! Congratulations!
Thanks sweetie, I totally agree :)
xx
Congratulation for the award! I hate chores too..I think they are dangerous lol. It can cause frustration :P
ReplyDeleteHa ha! You are so right Rina :)

Congratulations Tracey and thanks so much for the tag! I've also been tagged for the Sunshine Award three times and still haven't gotten around to responding. Doh. But will try to make some time this week to do my follow up posts.
ReplyDeleteI also have an anxiety disorder, so know what that's like. As well as having a house that is permanently a bomb site. Sigh.
Anyway, hope you have a lovely Christmas and thanks once again!
I hate to say it Ness, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one!
DeleteMerry Christmas to you too :)
xx
Congrats on your award! I seem to be having accidental bloggy breaks... I just can't seem to get it all together. This life thing. I'm working on my will to clean... But before that, there's Christmas spirit to be had! Have a wonderful one xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I know what you mean. I think I need to get a better hand on my time management skills.
DeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours, hope it is everything you want it to be :)
