The November 30/30 Challenge - Day 6. Row, Row, Row Your Boat...

Welcome to Day Six of The November 30/30 Challenge.

If you haven't already guessed it, today's activity highlight is Rowing!

Doesn't the scene above look blissful?

Yeah....Nup!

Take away the water and then I would agree!

Obviously, I'm not a water person. So although I love this picture of the gorgeous sunrise, the thought of being in that tiny little vessel surrounded by water, doesn't thrill me at all. I'm sure it's due to the fact that I'm a fire sign.... Sagittarius to be exact. Fire and water just don't go together.

Perfect explanation!

Anyway, luckily not everyone feels the way I do, otherwise we would never get beautiful pictures like this.

And, just because I don't like water, doesn't mean I can't go rowing!

And I have!

If rowing is the kind of activity for you, whether you do it on land or on the water, there is some equipment required. You need to have access to the canoe-ey thing for the water, or a rowing machine. But once you've got that, you're pretty much set!

Getting into rowing provides some great benefits, some of which are:

Full body workout.

Burns calories.

Reduces stress.

Builds friendships (if rowing on the water in a team).

Encourages team work (once again if rowing in a team).

Improves flexibility.

Improves muscle strength.

Go on! Give it a try!

  2. I love the idea of 30/30... I need to get back into exercise, I can't believe it has been a year since I have run! I do have loads of completely valid reasons though - I really do. I love exercising and am at the point where I think I can start aiming for a few times a week.

All the best with this - nothing like a challenge to get you started on something!

  3. Oh, I would love to try rowing! I go on the rowing machine at the gym all the time. But I bet it's nothing like being on the water.

  4. We have often spoken about getting a canoe/kayak/whatever they are called and paddling BUT I am not really a water person either and A is a overweight and I don't know how we would manage !!! I wouldn't mind paddling with the tide - can't say I am keen to paddle against it though !
    Have the best day !

    1. Well I suppose, you are married to The Boatman, so it kind of make sense that you would enjoy the water too!
      You can have it! ;)
